Kids Book Review: God Loves Daddy & Me
Rishika started reading early in her life and one of the main reason I have a knack to get her books that she can read and handle easily without tearing off the pages. Recently I got a few books for her, among them, God loves Daddy and Me is one that she liked reading as she did not need our help while reading the book.
God Loves Daddy and Me by Bonnie Rickner Jensen is a book that tells a story of a kid and her dad (it is not mentioned whether the kid is a boy or a girl, so we like to think of it as a girl). Through the pages of the book and the rhythmic text, there is a huge presence of God’s Love. The books tell the kids that God is there everywhere and in everything and that God loves Daddy and the baby no matter what activity they are doing throughout the day. The illustration shows a daddy and a baby raccoon playing and doing various things in all the pages and they are pretty cute. The illustration is done by Laura Watkins and she did a great job, the illustration matches the text on each page and Rishika surely loves it.
The book can be read by readers who have just started reading as the text used throughout the books is not hard or big words. Even the little ones who love listening to it as the text has a rhythmic tune to it.
