Ayesha Curry Home Collection Nonstick Chef Pan Review

I like to cook, most of the time at least and with Indian food, frying is a big part. I have been consciously trying to reduce the amount of oil I use while frying veggies, fish, etc. and a great non-stick pan is really helpful. Two weeks back I received the Ayesha Curry Home Collection 9.75-Inch Porcelain Enamel Nonstick Chef Pan with Pour Spouts and honestly I was skeptical at first.

The pan has a textured base and so far I had never found textured bases in pans to be really good at the non-stick purpose, which is why I was worried that this will be same. I was shocked with the result, the pan is one of the best non-stick pans I have used in a long time. One of the best features of the pan is that it gets hot really quickly and reduces the cooking time significantly.

The handles are pretty sturdy and are made of stainless steel so they do get hot pretty quickly, my advice to anyone who wants to get this pan is to be very careful and to not touch the handles with bare hands after the pan has been on the stove.  When I fried eggplant and fish for my daughter, I only used a half teaspoon of oil and they were fried so nicely and evenly and did not stick even the tiniest bit. Cleaning is also super quick, as nothing sticks to the pan only a rub with a soapy sponge is enough to get the pan clean. While storing it is advised to use a paper towel on the cooking surface to protect it from scratches.

The only thing that may be a drawback for this pan is they are not dishwasher safe, but honestly, I do not mind. My experience with non-stick cookware has been for over 2 decades and if they are put into dishwashers the non-stick disintegrates after some time, whereas handwashing them helps with the longevity of the cookware. I am happy with the product and I am looking forward to changing my old cookware with new ones from Ayesha Curry Home collection.

Find it at Ayesha Curry Kitchenware website.
